The cap is placed on the sharpener opening which prevents shavings from discharging from the container and making a mess of the desktop or pocket interior.
The cap is available for the standard 8mm sharpener, clutch pencil 5,6mm sharpener and jumbo pencil 11,7mm sharpener.
